1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel your Mentorfy.ai subscription, what happens after cancellation, and important information about your data and access.

2. Your Right to Cancel

2.1 Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your Mentorfy.ai subscription at any time, for any reason. There are no cancellation fees, penalties, or long-term commitments required.

2.2 No Questions Asked

We respect your decision to cancel. You are not required to provide a reason for cancellation, though we appreciate feedback to help us improve the Service.

3. How to Cancel Your Subscription

3.1 Method 1: Through Your Account (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your Mentorfy.ai account

  2. Navigate to Account Settings or Billing

  3. Click Cancel Subscription

  4. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation

  5. You will receive an email confirmation

3.2 Method 2: Email Request

If you prefer, you can cancel by email:

  1. Send an email to brady@mentorfy.ai

  2. Use the subject line: "Cancel Subscription"

  3. Include your account email address

  4. We will process your cancellation within 1-2 business days

  5. You will receive email confirmation once processed

3.3 Confirmation Required

Important: Your subscription is not canceled until you receive email confirmation from us. Continue to check your email for confirmation, and contact us if you do not receive it within 2 business days.

4. When Cancellation Takes Effect

4.1 Access Until End of Billing Period

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your cancellation is effective immediately (no future charges)

  • You retain full access to Mentorfy.ai until the end of your current billing period

  • Your subscription will not automatically renew

  • No additional charges will be made

4.2 Example Timeline

If you pay monthly on the 1st and cancel on the 15th:

  • Cancellation processed: January 15

  • You keep access through: January 31 (end of billing period)

  • Final charge: January 1 (no refund for remaining days)

  • Next charge: None (subscription does not renew)

  • Access ends: January 31 at 11:59 PM

If you have an annual plan and cancel 6 months in:

  • You keep access for the remaining 6 months

  • No refund for unused time (unless within 30-day guarantee period)

  • Subscription does not renew at the end of the year

4.3 Immediate Cancellation Not Available

We do not offer immediate cancellation with refunds outside the 30-day money-back guarantee period. You will always retain access through the end of your paid period.

5. What Happens After Cancellation

5.1 Access to Your Account

During Billing Period:

  • Full access to all features and AI agents

  • Ability to export your data

  • Normal functionality continues

After Billing Period Ends:

  • Access to Mentorfy.ai is immediately disabled

  • You cannot log in or use AI agents

  • Your data enters a 30-day retention period

5.2 Your Data and Content

30-Day Retention Period:

  • Your data is retained for 30 days after your subscription ends

  • This allows you to reactivate your account if you change your mind

  • You can request data export during this period

After 30 Days:

  • All your data is permanently deleted, including:

    • User Content and expertise

    • Neural networks and AI agents

    • Account information

    • Usage history

    • Uploaded files and documents

  • Deletion is irreversible - we cannot recover your data after this point

Data Deletion Timeline:

  • Subscription ends: January 31

  • Data retention period: January 31 - March 2 (30 days)

  • Permanent deletion: March 3

5.3 Anonymized Data

Aggregated and anonymized data that does not identify you personally may be retained for AI training and service improvements, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Reactivating Your Account

6.1 Within 30 Days

If you canceled by mistake or changed your mind, you can reactivate your account within 30 days:

  1. Log in to Mentorfy.ai (your credentials still work)

  2. Navigate to Account Settings or Billing

  3. Click Reactivate Subscription

  4. Update payment information if needed

  5. Your account and data will be fully restored

Note: You will be charged for a new billing period starting from the date of reactivation.

6.2 After 30 Days

If more than 30 days have passed since your subscription ended:

  • Your data has been permanently deleted

  • You will need to create a new account

  • You will start from scratch (no data recovery possible)

7. Automatic Renewal Prevention

7.1 No Automatic Charges

Once you cancel:

  • Your subscription will not automatically renew

  • You will not be charged again

  • No further action is required from you

7.2 Verification

To verify your subscription is canceled:

  1. Check your email for cancellation confirmation

  2. Log in to your account and check Billing or Subscription Status

  3. Contact us at brady@mentorfy.ai if you have concerns

8. Refunds Upon Cancellation

8.1 Within 30-Day Guarantee

If you cancel within 30 days of your initial purchase, you are eligible for a full refund under our money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for details.

8.2 After 30 Days

If you cancel after the 30-day guarantee period:

  • No refund is provided for the current billing period

  • You retain access until the end of the paid period

  • See our Refund Policy for complete details

9. Canceling Annual Subscriptions

9.1 How It Works

If you have an annual subscription:

  • You can cancel at any time

  • You keep access for the full year you paid for

  • No refund for unused months (unless within 30-day guarantee)

  • Subscription does not renew at the end of the year

9.2 Example

You purchase an annual plan for $999 on January 1:

  • Cancel on July 1 (6 months in)

  • Keep access through: December 31 (end of annual period)

  • Refund: None (unless within 30-day guarantee)

  • Next charge: None (does not renew)

10. Pausing Your Subscription

10.1 No Pause Option

We do not currently offer the ability to pause or suspend your subscription. Your options are:

  • Keep your subscription active

  • Cancel and reactivate later (within 30 days to retain data)

10.2 Downgrading

If you want to reduce costs but keep your account:

  • Check if a lower-tier plan is available

  • Contact brady@mentorfy.ai to discuss options

  • Downgrade requests may have different terms

11. Cancellation Due to Payment Failure

11.1 Failed Payments

If your payment fails:

  • We will attempt to process payment multiple times

  • You will receive email notifications

  • Your account may be suspended if payment cannot be processed

  • See Section 12 for involuntary suspension details

11.2 Grace Period

We typically provide a grace period for failed payments:

  • You have 7-14 days to update payment information

  • Your access may be restricted during this time

  • Contact us immediately if you experience payment issues

12. Involuntary Account Suspension or Termination

12.1 Non-Payment

If you fail to pay:

  • Your account will be suspended after a grace period

  • You will lose access to the Service

  • Your data enters the 30-day deletion timeline

  • Outstanding balances remain due

12.2 Terms of Service Violations

If your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service:

  • Access is immediately revoked

  • No refund is provided

  • Data may be deleted immediately without a retention period

  • You may not be eligible to create a new account

13. Exporting Your Data Before Cancellation

13.1 Data Export Options

We recommend exporting your data before canceling:

  1. Log in to your account

  2. Navigate to Settings > Export Data

  3. Request a data export (may take 24-48 hours to generate)

  4. Download your data files

  5. Save them securely

13.2 What You Can Export

  • Your User Content and expertise

  • Neural network structures (if available)

  • Account information

  • Usage history and analytics

13.3 Timing

Important: Export your data before the end of your billing period. While you have 30 days after cancellation to request data, we recommend exporting while you still have full access.

14. Billing After Cancellation

14.1 No Further Charges

After you cancel, you will not be charged for:

  • Subscription renewals

  • Usage fees

  • Any additional services

14.2 Final Invoice

You will receive a final invoice for:

  • Your last billing period

  • Any outstanding charges

  • This invoice is sent for record-keeping only (no payment required if already paid)
